The SOI Foundation comes to La Fab

For nearly three decades, the SOI Foundation has been taking young people to the ends of the earth. Their expeditions carry youth from across Canada and around the world to the Arctic and the Antarctic, travelling alongside scientists, Elders, artists, musicians and knowledge keepers — people who read the land and the ice in very different ways, and who teach the students to do the same.

Join us at La Fab for an late afternoon with the SOI team as they share what these journeys look like: the places, the science, the art made along the way, and the young people who come home changed by them. Expect photographs, stories from the field, and a conversation about why connecting youth to nature matters more than ever.

This is a free presentation.

Applications for SOI’s 2027 expedition season are open until 10 December, so this is a timely evening for any young person in the Outaouais who has wondered what it would take to get there.
