P’tite galerie La Fab
9 May to 21 June 2026
Vernissage : 9 May, 1 PM to 4 PM
The artist’s work takes root in her back yard, at the heart of a small private rose garden. There, she photographs the June blooms. She pays close attention to the shapes, volumes, and colour nuances of the flowers. These photographs serve as the raw material for her works, from which she creates prints on Fine Art paper. Her artistic exploration focuses primarily on composition. She explores spaces to be revealed, areas of depth where the gaze can enter and move freely.
Undulating forms, organic structures, and subtle volumes form the formal foundations – like a discreet architecture that supports the image. In doing so, she constructs sensitive spaces where perspective opens and invites slow contemplation. Once the space is defined, the artist imbues the image with a velvety, ethereal atmosphere, akin to sfumato. In harmony with her intimate perception, she explores the effects of softness and mist, guided by the influence of the deep black characteristic of the mezzotint technique. These velvety blacks intensify the colours and light, generating subtle gradations.
Printing on Fine Art paper (100% cotton) plays an essential role in her approach. This medium, chosen for its museum-quality standards, allows for the subtle reproduction of the delicate textures and velvety effects that characterize her work. It becomes the surface where the image reveals its full plasticity.
POETRY
The exhibition is complemented by the Poetry collection – June. Conceived as a natural extension of the visual works, the poems engage in a dialogue with the images. They invite the public to enter the narrative world of the shrub rose. In these verses, the shrub becomes a feminine figure reborn in spring.  Through metaphor, the poems aim to awaken a sensitivity to life, to fragile beauty, and to the emotions carried within the plant character: joy, sadness, nostalgia. The collection-images and poetry-offers an immersive experience where the visual and the written complement each other. June is an invitation to slow down, to contemplate, to feel the discreet yet powerful presence of the plant world.
