Floral Beaded Embroidery Brooch Workshop with Jae Shaw

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the art of beaded embroidery while creating a beautiful floral brooch. Perfect for beginners and the bead-curious, the class offers a warm, approachable introduction to techniques used in jewelry, sew-on patches, and decorative wall art.
We’ll begin by getting familiar with materials and tools, then move into stitching as you learn how to transfer a design, secure beads, and build texture and detail. Guidance is step by step, with plenty of room to enjoy the process.
To finish, we’ll cover clean, professional methods for edging, backing, and attaching a brooch clasp—or, if you prefer, finishing your piece as a sew-on patch. You’ll leave with a beautiful piece and skills to continue exploring beaded embroidery.

All materials are included. Class is taught in English and French
Jae Shaw is an artist from Chelsea, Quebec. She paints in all media, embroiders with beads, and uses her iPad to create books and images. Although she explores various themes in her art, trees are her favourite subject.
