Atelier de tournage avec Lisa-Marie Serafin

Lisa-Marie Serafin enseigne aux étudiants à atteindre leurs objectifs en poterie depuis 24 ans. Les trois premières années de son apprentissage en poterie se sont faites par des cours de façonnage. Lisa-Marie est potière autodidacte pour son apprentissage sur le tour de poterie. Elle a un penchant pour la poterie fonctionnelle et pour les textures. Elle a hâte de partager ses techniques, ses connaissances et ses découvertes avec vous.

Cet atelier de trois(3) heures vous donnera une idée de ce que signifie réaliser de la poterie sur un tour de potier. Préparez-vous à vous salir ! Vous apprendrez à prendre un morceau d’argile et à en faire un récipient, tel qu’un cylindre ou un bol. Une fois que vous aurez terminé la fabrication de votre pièce, vous apprendrez à tournacer un anneau de pied sur votre pièce. Notre technicien de studio émaillera votre pièce dans la couleur de votre choix.

*Notez que le coût du cours comprend 3 kg d’argile.

*La durée du cours comprend 30 minutes pour nettoyer l’atelier.

*Ce cours est réservé pour les personnes de 16 ans+

One Night on the Wheel workshop with Lisa-Marie Serafin 

Lisa-Marie has been teaching students reach their pottery goals for 24 years. She began her pottery journey with hand building lessons for 3 years then taught herself how to use the potter’s wheel.  Lisa-Marie has a fondness for functional pottery and textures and is eager to share her techniques, knowledge and discoveries with her students.

This three(3) hour workshop will give you an idea of what it is like to make pottery on the potter’s wheel. Prepare to get dirty! You will learn how to take a wet lump of clay and make it into a vessel, such as a cylinder or a bowl. Once you have achieved making your piece, you will learn how to trim a foot ring on the bottom of your piece.  Our studio technician will glaze your piece for you in a colour of your choice.

*Note that the cost of the class includes 3kg of clay.  

*The class duration includes 30 minutes to clean-up the studio.

*This class is for individuals 16 years old and up.
