Calligraphy and Gilding with Rick Draffin

Gold has been prized from early times for its beauty and eternal qualities, especially in art.  In calligraphy, gilding is the decorative process of applying gold leaf to letters adding a luminous reflective quality that has lasted for centuries.
Discover the elegance and beauty of gilding in this inspiring two part weekend workshop with Rick Draffin.  Meeting two consecutive Sunday mornings in November, we will explore both precious and non precious gilding with paint and gold leaf.  These skills will allow you to add special accents to cards, bookmarks or other decorative pieces.   Each class builds on the previous one, giving you time to practice between sessions.

This workshop is suitable for all participants, with or without calligraphy experience.
All  materials are provided. Instruction is in English
