Beth McCubbin

My art is focused on and fueled by an attention to our lived environment.

The artwork has evolved from the handling of many mixed materials and found objects to concentrated ceramic studies and development, and the building of large-scale concrete sculpture installation. I use the subtleties of form, often figurative, to communicate.  It is grounded in common materials, in a deep compassion for pain and exclusion, and in a belief in the power of objects.

Beth lives in the Outaouais Region, crossing back and forth from Quebec to Ontario along the Ottawa River.
