Each Hydrangea bloom is made of sterling silver (9.25). The silver blooms can be worn individually or strung together to make a bouquet.
To make each silver Hydrangea I take apart a Hydrangea flower. I cover each petal with sterling silver metal clay and sculpt it while it is supple to resemble the petals as they were in nature. I then reassemble the bloom, attaching them onto a silver backing for strength and stability. I add details including the bead like centre and bails at the back to string the chain through. I particularly enjoy making hydrangea because it requires a lot of focus and detailed work which I find relaxing.
The picture of this collection of silver Hydrangea is meant to give the viewer an idea of what the pendants look like when finished.
* I recommend that the Hydrangea pendants be hung either individually or together on one of my 20” or 34” fully adjustable Game Chain-ger chains ($30, $35). My Game Chain-ger chains allows the wearer to adjust the chains length so that your pendants sit exactly where you want them so that you are able to achieve the exact look you are hoping for. The chains are available in a number of styles; box, curb and wheat.
