SORTIR LA TEMPÊTE DU VERRE, c’est un spectacle sur la mémoire; celle qui nous rend heureux et celle
qui peut nous faire faux bonds. Le conteur Stéphane Guertin s’est inspiré du village de Kirk’s Ferry qui gît au fond de la rivière derrière chez lui depuis la construction d’un barrage en 1926. En rire et en poésie, il y dépeint l’aventure d’une famille qui sera aux premières loges de l’inondation de son village. Entre les magouilles et la débrouillardise, la famille devra survivre aux torrents de la vie.

SORTIR LA TEMPÊTE DU VERRE is a show about memory; the memory that makes us happy and the memory that can make us miss. Actor and storyteller Stéphane Guertin drew his inspiration from the village of Kirk’s Ferry, which has been lying at the bottom of the river behind his home since a dam was built in 1926. With laughter and poetry, he depicts the adventure of a family who will have a front row seat when their village floods. Between scheming and resourcefulness, the family will have to survive the torrents of life.
