Join Wendo for a 3.5 hr introductory workshop where you’ll create a scarf that can be worn in multiple ways. Explore the beautiful art of nuno felting, a unique wet-felting technique that bonds fine merino wool fibers to silk fabric, producing a soft, lightweight textile with rich texture. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn essential skills including fiber layout, fabric selection, wetting, agitation, and finishing. You’ll leave with a custom silk chiffon scarf felted with merino wool, ready to wear, and a solid foundation in nuno felt techniques you can build on at home. This workshop is suitable for beginners through intermediate makers.

Wendo is a artist who is passionate about all things wool. Born in Brockville and raised in Prescott, in Grade 9 Wendo elected to take art rather than music or physical education and hasn’t looked back. In 2002,she began creating woolly sculptures and landscapes, making needle felting kits and most enjoyably….teaching the art of Needle Felting.She loves teaching wool felting (wet and dry)  because it’s SO simple and everyone can do it!
