During this workshop, participants will create an original mosaic around a mirror using various provided materials such as broken crockery, beads, buttons, and pieces of coloured glass. The project will measure 8×10 inches, and the mirror will measure 4×6 inches.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the art of mosaics, and participants will learn various techniques for completing the project. They will learn how to use mosaic pliers, cut certain shapes out of glass, and finally apply the adhesive. They will receive guidance throughout the workshop as they create their artwork.
Workshop taught mainly in French with some English.
Marilyne Milette is a great lover of unlikely combinations and patterns of all kinds, and her inspiration for her artwork often comes from these. While it is true that figurative and abstract elements coexist in her work, flowers occupy a special place.
