Venez nous rejoindre à La Fab Sur Mill pour une présentation et un atelier de deux heures sur le plus ancien et plus beau médium de peinture – l’aquarelle.
La première heure consistera en une mini-conférence — une présentation de diapositives sur l’histoire de l’aquarelle, depuis l’aube de l’humanité jusqu’aux artistes d’aujourd’hui, pendant que vous dégusterez une tasse de thé chaud.
La deuxième heure sera consacrée à l’apprentissage de base pour peindre de l’aquarelle, du papier, des pinceaux et des pigments aux approches et aux techniques. Chaque participant réalisera ensuite une petite œuvre « en peinture fraîche » (wet-on-wet) en utilisant du papier et de la peinture professionnelle.
Votre présentateur sera l’artiste local Jae Shaw, ancien membre de la Société canadienne des peintres en aquarelle (SCPA), ancien membre de la Société d’aquarelle d’Ottawa (OWS) et aquarelliste primé.

Come and join us at La Fab Sur Mill for a 2-hour presentation and workshop on our most ancient and beautiful painting media – watercolour.
The first hour will consist of a “Tea Talk” — a slide presentation on the history of watercolours, from the dawn of humankind to modern-day artists, while you enjoy a cup of hot tea.
The second hour will cover the basics of how you can get started in watercolour, from paper, brushes and pigment, to approaches and techniques. Each participant will then complete a small ‘wet-on-wet’ piece using professional paint and paper.
Your presenter will be local artist Jae Shaw, a past member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC), a past Fellow of the Ottawa Watercolour Society (OWS) and an award-winning watercolourist.
