Start the New Year with greater calm, clarity and contentment.

This three-week series is an introduction to the yogic practices of Meditation and Mantra. Its aim is to help you develop and maintain your own Meditation/Mantra practice – one that will lead you slowly, steadily, peacefully towards a sense of wellness, wholeness and happiness. With Meditation, we learn to let go of our thoughts, calming and focusing the busy mind. With Mantra, we learn to choose our thoughts, creating new inner and outer realities. Together, Meditation and Mantra take us on a journey of self-discovery. The destination: inner peace and joy.

Week 1 – Special guest Nathan Vanek joins us to provide an overview of meditation, common misconceptions, the foundational philosophy and fundamental approach.

Week 2 – Preparing for meditation; establishing a regular practice; asana and pranayama to support and enhance meditation; key yogic concepts to guide the inward journey

Week 3 – Mantra as a tool of relaxation, concentration, intention, and manifestation; the mantra aum and other yogic mantras; the different forms of mantra practice; weaving meditation and mantra into daily life

This series includes:– Three one-hour classes at La Fab sur Mill – January 7, 14, 21 – with a catered vegetarian lunch following the third session– Access to Zofia’s Morning Meditations on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 8:00-8:20am, from January 8 to 31, online via Zoom– Admission to the SOULHUM New Year’s Kirtan (concert of mantra music) at La Fab sur Mill on Sunday, January 28th 10:30am-12:00pm
