As part of the festivities marking the 150th anniversary of the municipality of Chelsea, as well as La Fab’s first ever Youth Holiday Market, you are invited to participate in a free aluminum embossing workshop led by local artist Yvan Xavier Regout.
Discover this fascinating technique, which involves creating raised patterns on aluminum sheets using simple tools. This activity will allow everyone, children and adults alike, to create beautiful personalized works of art related to our municipality’s 150th anniversary!
Each participant will create an individual piece that will be incorporated into a large collective creation celebrating the richness and creativity of our community.

About the artist:
Yvan Xavier Regout, a resident of Chelsea, is a sculptor known for his work with metals, particularly aluminum, iron, and copper. Fascinated by the play of light on surfaces, he creates works in which texture, shine, and relief come together to give life to compositions that are both poetic and contemporary.
Based in the Outaouais region, Yvan Xavier Regout draws inspiration from nature, organic forms, and local heritage. His artistic approach encourages community participation and collective creation, seeking to forge links between art, people, history, and their territory.
