Position Overview:
La Fab Sur Mill is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated counselors for its summer art camp. As a counselor, you will be
responsible for guiding and inspiring a group of children in a safe, dynamic, and creative environment close to nature.
The camp will introduce participants to a variety of artistic disciplines, as well as other exciting indoor and outdoor
activities at our dedicated arts center.
Main responsibilities:
Camp planning and facilitation: Facilitate artistic and recreational activities in collaboration with other counselors and
specialized teachers, under the supervision of the camp coordinator. Lead daily activities, ensuring a balance
between structured lessons and creative exploration.
Child Engagement: Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where children feel encouraged to express themselves
artistically. Provide guidance and support to ensure each child’s individual needs are met, encouraging a sense of
achievement and self-confidence.
Safety and well-being: Maintain a safe environment during all activities, both indoors and outdoors from arrival to
departure. Attend to each child’s physical and emotional well-being, and respond promptly to any concerns.
Qualifications:
High school education
Previous experience working with children
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, commitment to safety, and demonstrated willingness to collaborate with a team
Preferably bilingual (French & English)
First aid and CPR certification an asset
